by

The Center for Circular Economy is a competence center in the field of circular economy, led by Gitte Haar. Gitte primarily focuses on the transition of private companies and has many years of experience in business development, circular economy, and new business models. The center collaborates closely with technical experts from universities and GtS institutions to ensure that companies receive the right technical guidance.

The center has a well-developed methodology available for use by businesses, as described in the book series that was released in September 2021. These methods have been developed after many years of working on companies’ green transitions and ensure that companies reap the benefits of transforming their businesses, often leading to the development of new products and new agreements with customers and suppliers.

Many years of experience

Gitte Haar holds degrees in cand. merc. aud. and cand. scient. agro. She has many years of experience from major consulting and auditing firms, including Arthur Andersen and Deloitte, and has extensive leadership experience in both business development and finance. Gitte also has research experience from KU Life.

Lectures on Circular Economy

Gitte steps forward to deliver engaging presentations on important topics. Her talks cover key questions such as “How to become carbon neutral and save a lot of money?” and “What’s fact and fiction in climate change?” Gitte specializes in lectures on Circular Economy and resource scarcity. In these informative sessions, you’ll gain an insightful overview, access to factual information, and a wealth of inspiration. These presentations are not one-size-fits-all; they are customized to match your specific needs and preferences. Furthermore, Gitte’s lectures and presentations can be seamlessly combined within these thematic areas. They can also serve as a launching point for more extensive strategic initiatives within your company. Gitte actively involves participants in guiding the company through crucial tasks, such as formulating its inaugural sustainability strategy, establishing circular business goals, or developing a roadmap aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Technical and scientific facts

In all her lectures and presentations, Gitte ensures that technical and scientific facts are included. She also elucidates the driving forces behind companies’ transitions, encompassing aspects like legislation and emerging market trends. Gitte is committed to dispelling long-standing sustainability myths and actively combating greenwashing practices. Additionally, her talks delve into the economic ramifications of embracing green transformation, considering impacts on the company, its customers, and the broader economic landscape.
